Sara Kazan, CDT

Owner

Sara is a Certified Dental Technician with 19 years experience in the field. From 1989-2000 she owned, in partnership, Studio Dental Ceramics, where she worked as a full-time technician in all departments. In September of 2001 she independently opened Nellmar Laboratory, Inc. in Ann Arbor. The strength of Sara's ideals is exemplified in her business. The name, Nellmar, is a conglomeration of her three sons' names. Being the owner of Nellmar has allowed her to put together a team of uniquely qualified and diverse professionals. She also enjoys being a partner in mentoring students from the Ann Arbor area, some of whom are on her staff today. The idea of community coupled with an expanding and evolving business has always been at the front of her vision for Nellmar. Her idea of having a business that balances the strengths of many talents to further everyone's goals is one that she parlays into her own life. An avid rider of horses, photographer, and musician, Sara knows that the satisfaction in life comes from doing what she loves, professional and personal, and sharing this experience with others.

Wendy Romans

Office Adminstrator

Wendy has been with Nellmar for five years and has enjoyed every minute of it. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration. She has been married to Dan for twelve years and they have a seven year old son, Caleb. Caleb enjoys coming to visit the lab to get some extra spoiling. When not at Nellmar, Wendy enjoys soaking up every minute with her family. She also enjoys baking and watching movies.

John Uhes, CDT

Ceramics

John is CDT certified with twenty years experience. John has been with Nellmar for five years. He is a native Michigander and indigenous to Farmington Hills. John has a son, Sage, who is nineteen.

Laura Blackmer

Waxer

Laura is a former musician. She started her career in dental technology ten years ago and has been with Nellmar for four years. Laura is planning to take her CDT exam in the near future. Laura is married to Tim and has two teenage daughters, Ashleigh and Taylor.

Elizabeth Hwangbo

Ceramics

Elizabeth started working as a dental technician in May of 1998. She has worked at Nellmar for three years. Elizabeth is the mother of four. Her eldest daughter is attending graduate school as a piano major. Her second daughter is a senior undergraduate student majoring in violin. Her eldest son is a junior at Huron High. Her younger son is eight and in the third grade at Logan Elementary. Her life is about her children and supporting her family. Her husband is a great person to her.

Kevin Miller

Metal

Kevin is a PTC certified ceramist with over 16 years experience. He has been with Nellmar for two years. He also enjoys working with computers. Kevin is a Microsoft Certified Professional, CompTIA Certified Professional AT, and Network+ certified. He has two sons, David and Joey. In his free time he enjoys working out and biking.
